Hangxin Wei, male, was born in June 1973, Shaanxi Province,  China. He received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical Engineering from the Xidian University of Xian city, China, in 2007, for his work on the robot technology and an intelligent control. Then, he went to Xi 'an Shiyou University and engaged in teaching and scientific research. Now he is a professor with the Intelligent Mechanical department, College of Mechanical Engineering, Xian ShiYou University. His research interests include intelligent control and artificial intelligent and its application in the petroleum machinery.

He has taught  "Single Chip Microcomputer-SCM Principle and Application", "Robotics", "Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Transmission", "Hydraulic Transmission and Control" for undergraduates. He has taught the  course of "Modern Control Theory and Control Engineering" for graduated students.

He has published more than 20 scientific research papers as the first author in professional journals. He has published two academic monograph in Petroleum Industry Press. He has responsible for the project of "science and technology project of Shaanxi Province", " industry project of Xi 'an City", "science and technology project of Shaanxi Provincial Education Department", "research projects of Yanchang Oilfield and Changqing Oilfield",and so on.  He has won one second prize of Shaanxi Science and Technology Award, ranking 3/9, one first prize of Shaanxi Higher Education Science and Technology Award, ranking 2/11, and one second prize of Xi 'an Science and Technology Award, ranking 2/9. The first inventor was granted 2 invention patent and 3 utility model patents.

His main research interests are as follows: 

(1) Research on the theory and technology of intelligent control of mechanical oil production equipment based on fuzzy reasoning and artificial neural network; 

(2) Research on oil well condition diagnosis technology based on machine learning and deep learning neural network; 

(3) Research on the new energy digital pumping unit and the real-time monitoring technology of the rod pumping equipment in the digital oil field; 

(4) Research on mechanical analysis and control technology of downhole robots in oil and gas Wells.
